Sacred Flesh (2000) - VAH A wave of sexual temptation has begun to flood the convent, with the Mother Superior (Sally Tremaine) having bizarre sexual fantasies about Mary Magdalene (Kristina Bill), and many of the other nuns suddenly attracted to each other. However, the presence of a man only fuels the fires of a potentially explosive situation. Sacred Flesh (whose writer and director, Nigel Wingrove, previously dealt with a similar mix of sexuality and spirituality in his controversial short subject Visions of Ecstasy) was shot on videotape, and was projected electronically for its initial British engagements. |
